Rainbow watch, that’s what the renowned watch manufacturer Paul Picot has recently introduced, owns a official name as Gentleman Arc-en-ciel day/date wristwatch. “Arc-en-ciel” means rainbow in French, so the watch is designed to present all seven rainbow colors. There is a wide arched window at the 10 and 11 o’clock. This fancy design window show you each day of the week, corresponding to one of the seven rainbow colors. However, I’m confused at the reason why each day of the week are displayed in Italian. You know that this exceptional collection should by no means be only available in Italy.

This exquisite collection will certainly make a delight to the owner, with its fine embodiment of rainbow. The rainbow has been considered as a bridge between two different parts on Earth, like East to West, or between the Earth and another world. This rainbow bridge, depending on the cultures, is viewed as the road for gods, shamans, wizards, or legendary heroes. Nowadays, the rainbow becomes the symbol of peace and renewal. As the brand claimed, the new Gentleman Arc-en-ciel would turn into a exclusive companion for time-keeping, as the perfect demonstration of joy and gaiety, and the indication of the silver lining in the cloud in this times of crisis.

The watch case is rendered in high-grade steel material. The black or silver “velouté” dial highlights two arched windows placed aside 12:00: one for displaying the day, and the other for the logo show. A date counter is located at 6 o’clock, with a red triangle arrow overhead, a impressive touch.

The movement is a self-winding ETA 2834 Calibre, with a day and date complication. The watch is completed with a crocodile leather strap fitted with a tongue buckle, along with the feature of 50-meter water-resistance.
