
The Canadian skiing athlete Lauren Woolstencroft has achieved an unprecedented feat in world sports history – topping the podium in each of five events held within the framework of the Vancouver Paralympic Winter Games in March. The greatly impressive true sport enthusiasts expressed by this great athlete is really admirable.
To mark and celebrate her remarkable accomplishment, OMEGA, the Official Timekeeper of the Paralympic Winter Games presented a Seamaster Planet Ocean wristwatch to Woolstencroft, the only winter Paralympian in history to win five gold medals at a single Paralympic Games. The presentation was held at the OMEGA Olympic Games Boutique on the ground floor of the Fairmont Hotel Vancouver. After receiving her watch and signing the Boutique’s guest book, the legendary ski star said, “What a great honour to be recognized and be given the gift of time for my accomplishments at the Paralympic Winter Games. To receive an OMEGA watch from the official timekeeper of the 2010 Paralympic Winter Games is very exciting.”

The champion’s watch features a sportive and distinctive style, catching and holding the gaze with its orange strap and matching unidirectional rotating bezel. Beating inside the watch is an Omega self-winding Co-Axial chronometer movement. With an imposing case, the present watch is water-resistant to 2000 feet.
