The new Bell & Ross watch takes inspiration from the design of the Infiniti car. With the black powder finish, the 42mm steel case will make you think of the graphite finish featured by many exterior parts of the Infiniti FX Limited Edition. Shielded by an anti-reflection sapphire crystal, the galvanic black dial is completed with a seconds hand treated with a distinct purple coating. Purple is the color that symbolizes Infiniti’s brand identity and can be found everywhere – from the instruments of the Infiniti car to furnishings inside the Infiniti Centre. The numerals and indexes have been given a photo-luminescent finish to offer optimal legibility in all light conditions.

The new model is mounted on a heavy-duty synthetic black fabric or rubber strap. When Bell & Ross was founded, few people would think that this stylish Swiss watchmaker can become a reference in the exclusive world of Swiss watchmaking. Originally designed to meet the needs of extreme sports professionals, B & R watches have gradually become hot numbers among watch collectors and enthusiasts. Bell & Ross has been working with the automotive sector for several years, and on the occasion of the Geneva Motor Show (March 2010), the brand has invented an original dashboard clock for the new Peugeot SR1 Concept Car.

Look at the picture, the dashboard clock designed by Bell & Ross is in perfect harmony with the spirit of the new Peugeot SR1 Concept Car. When a wristwatch becomes a dashboard clock The timepiece designed by Bell & Ross offers an innovative integration concept and features a unique style and materials. The watch and its band fit neatly into the dashboard to become a temporary on-board timepiece. The instrument immediately turns back into a fashionable and avant-garde wrist watch when removed from the dashboard.

As the only analogue instrument on the futuristic dashboard of the Peugeot, the concept watch is really eye-catching for the drivers. It easily fits into a special slot on the dashboard. The watch case is cut from a block of steel and holds a three-dimensional face. During production, the digital machining facility designs a raised setting on the face. As the first watch to be constructed entirely of a carbon fiber case, the Bell & Ross BR01-92 & 94 limited all carbon fiber watches have recently been proudly released. The BR01-92 is a three-hand ordinary watch and the BR01-94 is a chronograph.

Carbon fiber makes up the most important parts for the watch: case, dial and even strap. It’s hard to imagine how light on earth it is. Perhaps even titanium watches are heavier than these new models, for the density of titanium is higher than that of carbon fiber. By the way, my spectacle frame is made of pure Titanium, and I really want to change it to a all carbon model, if it can reduce the weight. I don’t like half measure, so if I am a fan of carbon fiber models, I will go all the way just like B&R does.

The all carbon fiber editions makes some attractive change and also follows main “Pro” style in the shape design. Case size is still 46mm wide, featuring the signature touch with the hexagon inside the square case, and the configuration of the screw frames. The luminant hands and markers never changed, as well as their bold design, bring a excellent readability. As with the BR01-94 chronograph, powered by the “usual” for B&R – ETA 2894, embodies a certain symmetrical beauty with its chronograph subsidiary dials, date counter and unique “Ltd” (for limited edition) label. Only 500 pieces made available for each of the watches and the estimated price is between $5,000 – $8,000.
